Featured Artist : Lifecolour

This month we are featuring the artist Lifecolour who are one of the most exciting, up and coming contemporary christian artists emerging in the UK.

Hailing from Stoke-on-Trent, Lifecolour are beginning to make a name for themselves all over the world for their non-conforming approach to creativity. With their unmistakable guitar work, captivating live sets, tied together with heartfelt lyrics; they fuse together effortlessly to produce a sound that is monumentally bigger than the 4 of them.

Their desire to reach their generation through music that young people can relate to, yet keep tight hold of the message of Jesus, has led to a reputation of humility and willingness to serve wherever their music takes them.

They started their career in 2008 by supporting UK artists such as Matt Redman, [Dweeb] and Verra Cruz. Since the release of their second EP ‘Time to be Free’ in 2009, the band have gone from strength to strength. They have since received UK radio airplay on both UCB and Cross Rhythms radio stations; leading to performances at major UK festivals like Spring Harvest, Ultimate Event, Big Church Day Out, Megalife and Greenbelt.

In 2011, Lifecolour partnered with OneHope (www.onehope.net) for the UK and Ireland ‘OneHope Tour’, culminating with a mission trip to Albania. It was a real privilege for Lifecolour to work with the churches in Tirana and Durres, participating in their ministry with the children from the Romany community.

The band released their third, much anticipated EP "Where's Your Sting?" in September 2012 and went on to tour America for the first time; playing gigs in the famous cities of Chicago, Nashville, St. Louis and the major US festival LifeLight in South Dakota.

Named after the verse "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" 1 Corinthians 15:55, this 3 track EP boasts of the strength that can be found through Jesus, regardless of your situation. With the songs "A Difficult Start", "Tear Up The Same" and "Made For Something More", it's not hard to see why we at 180 Media are excited to see the lives influenced by these four young guys in the years ahead.
